The first novel is ‘The Love That You Deserve’, by Daria Bignardi on toxic family relationships recently translated into Turkish; this is followed by the adventure of a girl who, despite the war, trains for the Olympics without giving up, protagonist of the book ‘Don’t Tell Me You’re Afraid’ by Giuseppe Catozzella. And then the Medici dynasty (‘I Medici’) penned by novelist Matteo Strukul and ‘Una grande storia d’amore’ (A Great Love Story) by Susanna Tamaro.
A very full calendar of events for the second edition of İTEF – Istanbul Tanpinar Literature Festival, promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul, in collaboration with the Cepell – Centre for Books and Reading at the Italian Ministry of Culture. Given the success in 2020 of the first edition of the festival dedicated entirely to Italian authors and books translated into Turkish, the festival returns with the second edition, which will take place entirely online on the social channels of ITEF and the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul from 23 to 27 August 2021.
