On 8 July, the Italian Cultural Institute of Amsterdam is celebrating the Italian Day at the Universal Exhibition of the Horticultural Sector – Floriade, in the city of Almere.
The proposed activities take up the ‘continuity and innovation‘ strand that distinguishes the public diplomacy approach of the Italian Embassy in the Netherlands.
What is mapped out is an ideal itinerary that will start from the importance of flowers in ancient Rome, cross the Middle Ages through an original approach to the Divine Comedy, and lead to aeronautics and space technology and its uses for monitoring the environment, water and the various sectors of agriculture.
Representatives from the Italian and Dutch business worlds will give their testimony.
The programme is attached here.
