The Italian Cultural Institute of Kiev, in synergy with the Embassy of Italy led by Ambassador Pier Francesco Zazo, has launched an original series of literary meetings via zoom. The initiative, curated by Lucia Massacesi and organized in collaboration with ANILS (National Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages) Euroest, will be animated by writers who have chosen Italian as their literary language.
The first meeting was held on 28 April with Giulia Corsalini who made her debut with the novel ‘La lettrice di Cechov’ in 2018, winning the Mondello international literary prize the following year. The next events will involve the participation of Elvis Malaj (25 May), Leonardo Luccone (9 June), Carmen Covito (14 July), Camilla Baresani (22 September), and others after the summer.
The element that unites such different narrators is the love for life transfigured and literally told.
We really need it, especially in this critical moment that requires us to rediscover culture and spiritual values - Edoardo Crisafulli, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Kiev
The project is also aimed at the numerous professors, students and lovers of Italian language in Ukraine.
