The Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, in collaboration with the Compagnia della Luna, organises the story-concert ‘La musica è pericolosa’ (Music is Dangerous) with Nicola Piovani (piano), accompanied by Marina Cesari (sax) and Marco Loddo (double bass), scheduled for 22 March at 7pm (local time).
I don’t remember a single moment in my life in which there was no music. – Nicola Piovani
Nicola Piovani shares with the audience his experiences, memories and emotions in a career spanning over forty years: his beginnings with newsreel music in the Faculty of Philosophy together with Silvano Agosti, his first film and his encounter with great cinema, from Bellocchio to Monicelli, from the Taviani brothers to Nanni Moretti; his great encounter with Federico Fellini, for whom he wrote the music for the last three films (‘Ginger and Fred’, ‘Interview’ and ‘La Voice of the Moon’) and his collaborations with Vincenzo Cerami and Roberto Benigni.
The concert is streamed live on the Institute’s YouTube channel.
