On 21 June, the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis, in cooperation with the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra, the Tunis Opera Chorus, and the Associazione Internazionale Delle Culture Unite di Genoa (Aicu), presented a staging of Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’ by Andrea Elena.
This event was realised within the framework of an ongoing agreement between the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis and the Opera House.
In fact, the conductor, director, three musicians and three soloists singers are Italian and will perform with the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra, assisted by the Tunis Opera Chorus.
The project also included an Opera training of some Tunisian musicians in Genoa and a masterclass conducted by the conductor, Maestro Lorenzo Tazzieri, in Tunis.
