As part of the events organised by the Italian Embassy in Astana to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Kazakhstan, the young composer and pianist Alessandro Martire presented the world premiere of his new album ‘Wind of Gea’, which also includes the previously unreleased track ‘Larme’. The latter, dedicated to the friendship between Italy and Kazakhstan, was composed by Martire and presented together with a video clip filmed inside the Charyn Canyon nature park, one of Central Asia’s most impressive natural theatres.
The artist then performed in concert, also presenting his ‘Larme’, as part of the Alem Sez Festival programme, held in the Kazakhstan Central Concert Hall, the largest music hall in Central Asia.
The event conveys the idea of culture as a tool to strengthen Italy’s positioning, reflecting an innovative and up-to-date image of our country, also thanks to a wide-ranging cooperation with the involvement of local artistic partners and institutional and private sponsors.
In addition, the initiative promotes the concept of culture as a channel to reiterate the urgency of re-articulating human development through greater respect for nature and the environment. A timely message in favour of sustainability, broadcast to coincide with Cop27 in Sharm El-Sheik.
The full version of the video-clip ‘Larme’, filmed in the Charyn Canyon will be published from 25 November.
