The ‘suspended life’ of the lockdown in 2020 leads to reflection on the concept of the ‘piazza’ and on the importance that this space has for Italy. This is the inspiration behind this project ‘Le Piazze [in]visibili’, a story in texts and images of twenty-one Italian squares and cities, produced by the photographer and curator Marco Delogu.
One year after the launch of the project and the ebook, on the occasion of Festa della Repubblica – the Italian National Day, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis present the photographic exhibition ‘Le Piazze [In]visibili’ – the world tour stage of the project by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – open to the public at the Institute, subject to booking, from 1 to 20 June.
The exhibition opening will be live streamed on 1 June at 11 am (local time) on the Institute’s Facebook page. The opening will be attended by the Italian Ambassador to Tunis, Lorenzo Fanara, and the curator Marco Delogu, introduced by the Director of the Institute, Maria Vittoria Longhi.
More information on the exhibition is available on the website of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis.
