The fifth edition of the International Public Art Festival (IPAF) takes place in and around Salt River, Cape Town, from 10 to 14 February and will focus on three aspects: creativity, sustainability and safety. This initiative, conceived by the NGO BAZ-ART, invites us to reflect on how we can meet the needs of the present without compromising the world that our future generations will inherit, through works by the best local and international mural artists invited to get involved to create works of art on giant walls around Salt River.
Taking part in this edition is Lucamaleonte, an artist from Rome and one of the most appreciated street artists on the Italian scene. He’s been invited to take part in a collective performance by various local and international artists with huge creations of public art focusing on the principles of economic, social and environmental sustainability. The event is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute together with the Italian Embassy of Italy in Pretoria.
