On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation presents the short film ‘M A N I F E S T O‘, produced by IULMovie LAB and curated by the students of the second year of the Master’s Degree in Television, Cinema and New Media at IULM University, under the artistic supervision of Giuseppe Carrieri.
This short film is not a story, but rather a panorama. A slow-paced yet relentless view, punctuated only by close-up shots to capture the women’s eyes. Different stories, changing geographies, focused gazes that will follow us to the end, unravelling the complexity of the world in a smile. ‘M A N I F E S T O’ is the episode with which ‘Diritti Lab’, the project of the Foreign Ministry in collaboration with the IULM University of Milan, goes live. A series dedicated to human rights and fundamental freedoms, composed of thirteen shorts created by IULM’s undergraduates and young graduates. Subtitles are available in Italian, English, Spanish and French.
This initiative of cultural diplomacy aims to stimulate the international public’s reflection on human rights and fundamental freedoms, within the action that Italy carries out in bilateral and multilateral contexts.
