The innovative exhibition ‘Magister Raffaello’, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is the protagonist of an international tour thanks to the network of Italian Embassies, Consulates, Representations and Institutes of Culture in the world.
After the world premiere in Vietnam, at the Museum of Hanoi, and in Austria, at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz, ‘Magister Raffaello’ reaches the Mexican public in two exceptional locations, each with a distinct format:
- one integrated into an innovative Magister ArtBox design for physical use at the Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART) in Mexico City, from 18 April to 30 May 2021, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute of Mexico City
- an experimental Site Specific for an entirely digital use at the Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario, in Guanajuato, from 4 May to 4 August 2021, promoted by the Government of the state of Guanajuato through the Secretariat for Tourism and the Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario.
The exhibition in Mexico City and the ‘augmented narrative’ in Guanajuato are presented to the international public as an unprecedented experiential novel that revolves around the life of the great Renaissance artist and his most significant artworks.
‘Magister Raffaello’ is the third exhibition of Magister Art’s ‘Grandi Maestri’ series, conceived on the occasion of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the death of the great master from Urbino and curated by art historian Claudio Strinati, with the co-curatorship of Federico Strinati and the support of an international Scientific Committee.
