The Italian Cultural Institute of Valletta presents a singing masterclass taught by the jazz singer Chiara Pancaldi. The event will be held on 17 July at the Hotel Phoenicia and is inserted in the frame of the Malta Jazz Festival 2021, a three-day review that includes the participation of international artists from the contemporary jazz scene .
The workshop, which will focus in particular on jazz singing, will be complemented with a series of exercises designed to introduce participants to melody, phrasing and improvisation.
Since her international debut in 2015, singer Chiara Pancaldi has continued to demonstrate her expertise in the interpretation and phrasing of the repertoire of jazz standards. On her latest album, the Italian artist defies all expectations, developing her song writing style with the inclusion of elements of Brazilian and folk music.
