‘Franco Battiato: genio della musica italiana’ (Franco Battiato: a genius of Italian music) is the title of the meeting organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Montevideo to remember the great Sicilian artist who recently passed away.
Professor Antonella Agostinis will discuss the major stages in the composer’s career, who was unique within his genre and in his ability to experiment with pop, progressive, ethnic and electronic music, along with opera and ballet.
The appointment is for Wednesday 18 August on the Zoom platform and on the Facebook page of the Institute.
