‘CAMBIO. Design in flux’ (CHANGE. Design in flux) is the title of the conference that will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021 by the Formafantasma Collective, devised by Italian designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin. The meeting is part of the ‘Pianeta Fresca: Conversaciones sobre Design, Antropología y otras cosas’ (Fresh Planet: Conversations on Design, Anthropology and Other Things) series organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Lima in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).
Formafantasma Collective, based in Amsterdam and now internationally established, has for years been engaged in a profound investigation into the links between design and society: a wide-ranging reflection on the transformations that design is experiencing as a result of developing technological, environmental and societal challenges.
In dialogue with the two designers is the philosopher Emanuele Coccia, a professor at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and one of the most important Italian thinkers today.
The meeting can be viewed free of charge online on the Facebook pages of the Italian Cultural Institute of Lima and the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning PUCP. More information is available on iiclima.esteri.it and on arquitectura.pucp.edu.pe.
