From 7 to 28 November the ‘Mesiac fotografie’ (Month of Photography) festival will also host ‘New Post-Photography’, an Italian collective exhibition, curated by Gigliola Foschi. Organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Bratislava, the exhibition will explore the evolution of photography in the world today and its relationship with mass media and social networks.
With the aim of reducing the spectacular aspects, sometimes even concealing the images from the viewer, several works seem to want to stimulate in the observer another way of looking, one no longer based on rapid or passive viewing, but engaging them to the point of including them in the work.
Photographers featured: Alessandra Baldoni, Nicola Bertasi, Silvia Bigi, Tina Cosmai, Giancarlo Dell’Antonia, Elena Franco, Luca Gilli, Marco Guenzi, Leonardo Magrelli, Luca Marianaccio, Francesco Merlini, Michele Palazzi, Edoardo Romagnoli, Carolina Sandretto, Kai Uwe Schulte-Bunert, Gian Marco Sanna, Alessandro Toscano, Stefano Tubaro, Silvio Wolf.
