This year, the Italian Cultural Institute of Bratislava, in collaboration with Kino Lumière and in the framework of Fare Cinema 2021, presents the ‘Cinevitaj‘ showcase once again, dedicated to the great masters of our art and architecture.

Three unique cinematic events, dedicated to three key protagonists in our artistic tradition: Palladio, Canova and Bernini. The screenings will take place in June, with the following schedule:

  • 15 June 2021. ‘Palladio’ by Giacomo Gatti: a documentary journey that adheres to the signature style of its protagonist, one of the most celebrated architects of the Italian Renaissance, through the linearity of its narrative.
  • 22 June 2021. ‘Bernini’ by Francesco Invernizzi: through an extraordinary series of images, the film recounts the experience and career of the great sculptor, painter, urban planner, scenographer and architect that was Bernini – from his arrival in Rome to his consecration.
  • 29 June 2021. ‘Canova’ by Francesco Invernizzi: a documentary that charts the background and rise of this genius of classicism, offering the viewer a close-up view of his major masterpieces.
