Paolo Cognetti, the Italian writer who won the 2017 Strega Prize with his novel ‘Le otto montagne’ (The Eight Mountains), will be appearing at three meetings at the Italian Cultural Institutes of Berlin, Hamburg and Munich to present his new book, ‘La felicità del lupo‘, published by Einaudi, and already out in France, Spain, The Netherlands and Germany.

On 4 October, in Berlin, the author will present his novel, ‘Das Glück des Wolfes‘ in the German translation by Christiane Burkhardt. The meeting will be moderated by Maike Albath and readings will be given in German by Frank Arnold. The conversation will streamed live on the Institute’s Facebook channel.

On 5 October, the author will present his new novel in Hamburg, with readings of the German texts aloud by Anna Lena Schmidt, and moderation and consecutive interpretation by Francesca Bravi. The meeting is being organized by the Institute in collaboration with the Heymann bookshop and the Hauptkirche St. Katharinen.

On 6 October, a meeting in Munich will bring the series to a close. Alongside the author, Christiane Burkhardt, the translator of the book into German, will be present.

The meetings with Paolo Cognetti are being organized by the Italian Cultural Institutes in Germany, in collaboration with the publishers Einaudi and Penguin Verlag.
