The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation presents a series of concerts by Paolo Fresu and his Trio. The first two will take place on 4 and 5 March at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre, as part of Expo 2020, thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi. These will be followed by concerts in Muscat (March 7), Doha (March 9), and Amman (March 10). The last concert will be held on 12 March at the Music Hall – Centre STARCO in Beirut, and is being organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut, in collaboration with the Liban Jazz Association.
Throughout his long career, which has been full of success and experimentation, Paolo Fresu has managed to combine the most disparate elements and sounds with an ease that makes him a jazz legend today. Fresu’s trumpet sound is often compared to that of jazz icons like Miles Davis and Chet Baker.
With their natural elegance and their virtuosity, Paolo Fresu and his Trio will perform a medley from Fresu’s repertoire, as well as pieces paying tribute to the greatest jazz musicians of our time.
