On Thursday 6 May 2021, from 1 pm (local time), the Italian Cultural Institute of New York presents the book ‘La misura del tempo’ (The Measure of Time) by Gianrico Carofiglio. The author in conversation from Italy with Sheldon Zenner, former federal prosecutor and defence lawyer, from Chicago, will discuss the new novel and his career path from anti-mafia prosecutor to full-time writer.
The latest book in Carofiglio’s Guido Guerrieri crime series, published in spring 2021, is both a thriller and a compassionate musing on the ravages of time. When it was published in Italy, it topped the bestseller list for months and was shortlisted for the Premio Strega 2020, Italy’s most prestigious literary prize.
