On Thursday 16 September 2021, a meeting with the author Sandro Veronesi is scheduled as part of the ‘Harbour Front’ Literary Festival. Moderation and consecutive translation are by Maike Albath, with Sebastian Dunkelberg reading the German texts aloud.

Sandro Veronesi will talk about his novel ‘Il colibrì’ (La nave di Teseo, 2019), winner of the Strega Prize 2020, and translated into German by Michael von Killisch for Paul Zsolnay Verlag in 2021. In June, director Francesca Archibugi started shooting a film based on Veronesi’s novel.

Entry to the meeting is paid. A limited number of free tickets are reserved for members of the Italian Cultural Institute of Hamburg, to be booked by sending an email to events@iic-hamburg.de
