The fourth edition of the Sanremo Giovani World Tour is back in the physical world with the long-awaited return of live concerts, which this year tour Europe with the finalists of Sanremo Giovani 2021.

The artists Yuman, Martina Beltrami, Littamè and Samia will perform on a European tour that will touch down in four capital cities, stopping on 30 May in Madrid, on 1 June in Brussels, passing through Belgrade on 4 June to reach Tirana on 6 June. The Musical Director is Maurizio Filardo.

The tour, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and promoted in collaboration with RAI , aims to promote young Italian pop talent through the network of diplomatic-consular offices and Italian Cultural Institutes.

The initiative was created in 2019 in the form of a world tour in seven stages, all sold out, which travelled to all five continents. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the project instead took the form of a video-concert available via live stream. Finally, for the 2021 edition a special event was held at EXPO Dubai with exceptional guest star Noemi.

The 2022 edition of the event features artists of great talent who convey the new face of Italian pop music. This is a unique opportunity for these four young singers, who will enjoy the experience of an international audience in their role of young ambassadors of Italian music in the world.

ARTISTS

Yuman, born in Rome to a Cape Verdean father and Italian mother, is the winner of the latest edition of Sanremo Giovani with the song ‘Mille Notti’. When he was not yet eighteen, he began to write his first songs and, in 2015, moved to London and Berlin, to continue his artistic and human journey. In 2016, he returned to Italy and came into contact with Leave Music, former label of Mannarino, Tosca and Avincola.

Martina Beltrami, on the other hand, is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Rivoli who took part in the 2020 edition of the talent show ‘Amici di Maria de Filippi’. On 12 June 2020, she released her first single ‘Luci accese’, an immediate hit, reaching the top positions of the charts on Spotify and Apple Music. She was No 1 on the iTunes singles chart, entering the ‘New Music Friday Italia’ playlist on Spotify and staying for almost a month in the app’s ‘Viral 50 Italia’. Martina is also one of the Italian faces in Spotify’s global campaign ‘Unlike Any Other’, dedicated to artists belonging to the LGBTQIA+ community. On March 25, Artist First/Fiero Disks releases ‘CARA ME’ the debut album by the Turin-based singer-songwriter.

The singer Littamè has been writing her own songs since 2020 together with the authors and producers Stefano Paviani and Nicola Messedaglia. In June, she won a place among the top six artists at the ‘Fatti sentire’ festival of emerging Italian music broadcast on Rai2, with the song ‘Respiro su Marte’.

Samia, from Rome but with Somali and Yemeni origins, joined Leave Music in 2021 and published a digital single of her songs ‘Volume Spento’ and ‘Piove’, arranged and produced by Francesco Cataldo.

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

The artistic director of the tour is Maurizio Filardo, musical director of Sanremo Giovani 2018, artistic director of SGWT 2019 and 2020 and musical director of Eurovision Song Contest 2022. His career includes working as a producer and arranger and composing soundtracks for film and TV.
