On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Grazia Deledda, the Italian Cultural Institute of Montevideo is hosting an online conference with Professor Antonella Agostinis to present the work of the first Italian woman and writer to achieve the Nobel Prize for literature in 1926. Through the pages of some of her most famous novels, such as ‘Reeds in the wind’, we will discover the locations and traditions of Sardinia, in the enchantment of an almost magical nature, inhabited by ‘goblins, fairies and wandering spirits’ and characterized by harsh and wild landscapes.
