With the “Suono Italiano” project, the Italian Music Council CIDIM supports young Italian singers and musical talents in their international careers. For years, theItalian Cultural Institute of Hamburg has been a part of the initiative, offering musicians the opportunity to perform.
On 24 March it is the turn of classical guitarist Eugenio Della Chiara, who will perform a concert entitled “Incontri nel corso di secoli” (Encounters over the Centuries), consisting of songs, sonatas and Spanish and Italian caprices by Domenico Scarlatti, Miguel García, Niccolò Paganini, Carlo Galante, Manuel de Falla, Federico Moreno Torroba, Gaspar Cassado and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
After studying at the Conservatory of Pesaro, Della Chiara distinguished himself as a guitarist in Italy, Europe and Asia. He has recorded albums with various record companies, including the anthology ‘Guitarra Clássica’ with rare transcriptions for guitar from Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven. A passionate chamber musician, he plays in various duos: with violinist Piercarlo Sacco, guitarist Andrea Dieci and pianist Alberto Chines. Since 2015 he has been working as artistic director of chamber music at the ‘MU.N’ Note musicali in Pesaro.
