Until 30 June 2022 it is possible to visit the collective exhibition ‘Dante Plus 700. Edizione Addis Abeba’ at the Italian Cultural Institute of Addis Ababa, which celebrates the author of the ‘Divine Comedy’ through the works of 100 contemporary Italian artists including Milo Manara, Tanino Liberatore, Emiliano Ponzi, Riccardo Guasco, Nicola Verlato, Carlo Stanga, Donato Sansone, Giulio Rincione, Francesco Poroli and many others. The exhibition features illustrators, street artists, graphic designers and creators of comics and graphic novels who are very different from one another both in terms of style, ranging from tempera painting and geometric drawing to the use of 3D software, and in their approach to revisiting Dante’s iconography.

Aimed at bringing the visual arts into dialogue with literature and new technologies, ‘Dante Plus 700’ integrates elements of augmented reality into the exhibition path. Through the free ARIA The AR Platform application, created by the Milan-based animation studio Alkanoids, the works will come to life on the screen of your smartphone and will display short films.

The ‘Edition Addis Abeba’ is the largest edition of the ‘Dante 700 Plus’ exhibition abroad, curated by Marco Miccoli (Bonobolabo Ravenna).
