The ‘Trash‘ exhibition, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon, in collaboration with the Museu Nacional dos Coches, opens on Friday 14 May.

Through a wide selection of drawings, storyboards and video material, the exhibition itinerary proposes the various creative, technical and production phases that lie behind the animated film ‘Trash – La leggenda della piramide magica’ (2020), directed by Francesco Dafano and Luca Della Grotta, an adventure movie that combines fun and an educational mission in order to raise awareness on universal and highly topical issues related to sustainability and recycling. The young curator of the exhibition is Gabriella Natale, the adaptation in the beautiful Portuguese setting was entrusted to the architect Nadir Bonaccorso.

The exhibition is accompanied by the educational game ‘Trash and the Magic Pyramid’, available for download on iOS and Android devices, whose main intent is to allow the user to get used to the systematic division of household waste by following the correct recycling rules. .

To coincide with the opening of the exhibition, for the whole day of 14 May, there will be a virtual screening of the film ‘Trash – La leggenda della piramide magica’, with geolocated vision in Portugal, through the MyMovies streaming platform of the network of Italian Institutes of Culture. The film, produced by the production company Al One in Rome, with the contribution of Italian Ministry of Culture and distributed by Notorious Pictures, is a journey of discovery that tells about environmental sustainability in an innovative way, using the most modern film technologies.
