On the occasion of Open House Roma, it will be possible to visit the Palazzo della Farnesina and its collection of contemporary art.

The Farnesina Collection reopens to the public on 2 October!

On the occasion of the Open House Roma initiative, it will be possible to visit the main rooms of the Palazzo della Farnesina and its contemporary art collection during four shifts, at 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 15.00.

The visit that is free of charge. It will last about an hour and thirty minutes and will include the Atrio d’Onore hall on the mezzanine floor and the reception halls accessible to the public on the first floor. In this way, it will be possible to discover the historical core of the Farnesina Collection, dedicated, among others, to Informal Art, Forma 1 Group, Optical and Programmed Art, Arte Povera, Transavantgarde and the San Lorenzo Group. The visit will also include the new gallery dedicated to graphics, illustration and street art.

Open House Rome is an annual event created to celebrate the main places of design and architecture in the capital. Throughout the weekend of 2 and 3 October, around 200 usually inaccessible sites will be open to the public through free guided tours.

The visit will be organized by volunteers from Open House and the Touring Club Italiano.

We remind you that, to visit the Farnesina, showing a Green Pass is mandatory and that a mask must be worn and social distancing respected throughout the itinerary. Access will take place after checking an identity document and scanning the QRpass (QR-code) affixed to the poster that will be set up at the entrance. Lastly, in November, as part of the Touring Club Italiano “Aperti per Voi” (Open for You) project, visits to the Farnesina Collection will resume with the collaboration of the volunteer members of the TCI thanks to which, since 2016, it is possible to visit the Palazzo della Farnesina and its masterpieces.
