On the occasion of World Earth Day, the international event for environmental sustainability and the protection of our planet, the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague works together with the Signal Festival to present the installation ‘The Room of Change’, created in 2019 for the XXII Triennale in Milan by Giorgia Lupi and Gabriele Rossi, founders of the design studio Accurat in Milan.
Composed of a sort of three-dimensional tapestry of data, the installation illustrates the environmental changes experienced by our planet in the last twenty years, combining images taken from NASA archives with various data sources. The work tells the story of people seen through the spatial and temporal evolution of their interactions with the surrounding reality.
In the spirit of the Signal Festival, which for years has promoted integrated events combining art, urban spaces and new technologies, the installation will be open to the public free of charge from 22 to 28 April 2021, from 12 noon to midnight, in the Prague Holešovice Exhibition Grounds. The Italian Cultural Institute works in partnership on the project with the Prague City Hall and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
