For the Week of Italian Language in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute in Osaka supports the international symposium ‘Dante Today’, which takes place on Saturday, October 24 and is organized by Kyoto Sangyo University on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Japanese Association of Italian Studies.
On Sunday, October 25, ISEAS (Italian School of East-Asian Studies) offers an online symposium with the title ‘Reading Dante in East Asia’.
Starting from the end of October, the video-recordings will be available of the lecture ‘Dante’s language and ours: to the benefit of those teaching today’s Italian’ by Michele Loporcaro (University of Zurich) and ‘Dante and Italian Language in Osaka’, a conversation (in Japanese) between the scholars Doi Hideyuki and Hoshino Hitoshi.
