The Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney is once again taking part in the Sydney Film Festival, the main international film festival in Australia, which will be held from 3 to 21 November 2021.

This year the program includes three Italian films, including Paolo Sorrentino‘s ‘The hand of God‘: the story of a young man in the tumultuous Naples of the 1980s, an autobiographical portrait of the director in his youth before cinema drove him to move to Rome.

The other two films on the programme are Luca Lucchesi‘s ‘A Black Jesus‘, a journey to discover the source of fear and prejudice in a small town in southern Italy, and Uberto Pasolini’s “Nowhere Special”, based on a true story.
