On 20 June, the Italian Cultural Institute of Cairo presents an online meeting with writer Veronica Raimo, candidate for the Strega Prize with her novel ‘Niente di vero‘ (Nothing True).

Veronica Raimo was born in Rome in 1978. She has written the novels: ‘Il dolore secondo Matteo’ (Minimum Fax 2007), ‘Tutte le feste di domani’ (Rizzoli 2013) and ‘Miden’ (Mondadori 2018), published in the UK, USA and France. In 2019 he wrote the book of poems ‘Le bambinacce’ with Marco Rossari (Feltrinelli). His short stories have appeared in several anthologies and magazines, both in Italy and abroad. He co-wrote the film ‘Bella addormentata’ (2012) by Marco Bellocchio. He is involved in cultural journalism for several newspapers.

He has translated from English, among others: Francis Scott Fitzgerald, Octavia E. Butler, Ray Bradbury.
