On Thursday, 18 November 2021, starting at 11.00 a.m., the presentation of the VI edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World will take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
‘Tradition and perspectives of Italian cuisine: awareness and enhancement of food sustainability‘ is the main theme of the VI edition, which combines the promotion of Italian food products with the enhancement of the Mediterranean Diet, as a model of healthy and sustainable diet and lifestyle.
The event, which will take place from 22 to 28 November 2021 throughout the diplomatic-consular network abroad, has established itself over the years as one of the leading initiatives to promote the best of the Italian agri-food chain and food and wine tradition abroad, proving to be one of the pillars of the internationalization strategy of Made in Italy, as outlined in the Pact for Export.
The conference will be opened by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, followed by speeches by the Minister for Economic Development, Giancarlo Giorgetti, the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, Stefano Patuanelli, and Undersecretary of State for Education, Barbara Floridia. The founder of Slow Food, Carlo Petrini, will also participate. The event will be moderated by Farnesina’s Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, Lorenzo Angeloni.
The speeches can be followed directly in the conference room (International Conference Room) by photographers and TV operators, and with an audio/video link in the salle d’écoute (Aldo Moro Room) by journalists in attendance.
