The Italian Cultural Institute of New York presents ‘Viandante‘, the first solo exhibition in the United States by the artist Namsal Siedlecki.
The exhibition presents new and recent works by the artist – including a site-specific work – in a variety of languages and codes, ranging from more classic sculpture and painting to installations.
Siedlecki’s work typically explores dichotomies, such as the natural and the artificial, as well as the relationship between nature, time and human intervention. This exhibition illuminates the artist’s constant and continuous investigation of these concepts, focusing in particular on the themes of travel, transformation and extinction in artistic practice.
The exhibition is organized by Magazzino Italian Art, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of New York and Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at New York University.
