As part of the Novi Sad Music Festivities – NOMUS, scheduled from 21 to 28 October, the Italian Cultural Institute of Belgrade presents Vincenzo Capezzuto and the Ensemble Soqquadro Italiano who will perform in concert on Friday 22 October at the Synagogue of Novi Sad.

The musical group Soqquadro Italiano, founded in 2011 in Bologna by Claudio Borgianni and Vincenzo Capezzuto, is considered one of the most original and innovative groups of today’s European music scene in the Classical Crossover genre, which is open to all artistic languages (singing, music, dance, visual art). The Ensemble has a vast repertoire ranging from early music, jazz, pop and electronic music while always remaining open to new creative stimuli.

Vincenzo Capezzuto, solo voice, and the Ensemble Soqquadro Italiano, composed of Luciano Orologi (clarinet, percussion), Giancarlo Bianchetti (guitar) and Marco Forti (double bass), will present the project ‘Musica Migrante‘ (Migrant Music) which explores different musical repertoires: from Sephardic music to Argentine music, from traditional Italian music to the music of the Mediterranean basin with its cultured and popular Baroque repertoire rich in rhythmic intertwining borrowed from different cultures.
