The photography exhibition ‘Vincenzo Pastore: paesaggio urbano, paesaggio umano (Vincenzo Pastore: Urban Landscape, Human Landscape) will open on 13 December, curated by Giacomo Pirazzoli and Samuel Titan Junior and organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of San Paolo and the Moreira Salles Institute.

As well to carrying out an important portrait work in the studio, the Italian photographer Vincenzo Pastore, who had roots in Brazil, left a rich collection of images of the streets of Sao Paulo and the people who lived there. Through his photographs it is possible to take a look at the city at the beginning of its transformation between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

The images have been selected from the collection of the Instituto Moreira Salles.
