From February 7 to 28, the Italian Cultural Institute of New York hosts the exhibition ‘We Love Art. Vision and Creativity Made in Italy ‘.
Curated by Ludovico Pratesi and Marco Bassan, the project is an initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in partnership with the Fondazione Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP).
The aim is to explore the relationship between art, industry and contemporary society. In the process, each artist was supported by Fondazione CDP and could benefit of the collaboration of one of these companies: Open Fiber, Terna, ENI, Webuild, CDP Immobiliare, SNAM, TIM and Ansaldo.
Each of the eight, under-35, selected artists was able to realize his own creation in close synergy with one of the eight companies involved in the project, through an interaction with the companies and factory visits, and a productive relationship between the artists and the companies. The works, including sculptures, paintings and photographs, express the value that each artist took from experience, the inspirational motives for the work generated by the artists’ encounter with the world of the factory and the unique, individual understanding of the art-business relationship of each artist.
Works by: Benni Bosetto, Giulia Cenci, Tomaso De Luca, Lulù Nuti, Amedeo Polazzo, Alice Ronchi, Giulio Saverio Rossi and Namsal Siedlecki.
