To mark the occasion of the sixth Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute of Copenhagen presents a series of events and initiatives dedicated to this year’s theme, ‘tradition and perspectives of Italian cuisine’.
Among the proposed initiatives:
- 18 November. ‘Piatto italiano’ (An Italian Dish): a meeting with Nicola Fanetti, chef at the restaurant ‘Brace’ in Copenhagen. A pioneer in the fusion of the Italian gastronomic tradition and New Nordic cuisine, Nicola Fanetti makes use of a minimalist approach to emphasize intense flavours, blending his Italian roots with Nordic ingredients and taste.
- 23 November. ‘Bologna la grassa’ (Bologna, the Fat One – a nickname for the city) conference, dedicated to the development of cuisine and food in Italy, with a tasting involving traditional products from the Emilian city.
