The Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul and the Department of Italian Language and Literature of the Istanbul University are organizing an international lecture series entitled ‘Dante Alighieri e Yunus Emre: due universi paralleli a confronto‘ (Dante Alighieri and Yunus Emre: two parallel universes compared), with the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Ankara, the Turkish Embassy in Rome and the Yunus Emre Institute in Ankara.

The aim of this lecture series is to celebrate the greatness of Dante Alighieri and Yunus Emre not only individually but in unison, bringing to light in the comparison elements less known to the general public.

The event is structured as four distinct lectures all held by renowned specialists in the sector. The lectures will take place live on the Zoom webinar platform and on the social media channels of the Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul starting on 30 September on a weekly basis and ends on 21 October, coinciding with the 21st Week of the Italian Language in the World.
