The Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin presents a rich series of initiatives in the frameworkof the VI  Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World.

This year’s celebration of the many points of excellence in Italian cuisine will take place primarily on-line but will also encourage customers to try traditional Italian dishes in many participating restaurants in Dublin and across the country.

The line-up of events is as follow:

  • 19 November: the  YouTube Channel of the Italian Institute of Culture will launch 5 videos (in Italian with English subtitles) produced in collaboration with the Italian association Slowfood. The content, in line with the theme of sustainability marking this year’s campaign, will celebrate natural ingredients and ancient recipes, as well as the deep connection between the chefs and the local products offered by the Italian regions in which they work.
  • From the 22 to the 26 November five of the best Italian chefs in Ireland present five original video recipes recorded in their restaurant. The chefs behind some of Ireland’s favourite Italian recipes will share some of their secrets and let us take a glimpse of their life working in an Italian kitchen. The videos, recorded in English, will be uploaded to the YouTube channel of the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin, so that viewers can experience the preparation of these traditional recipes at home following the chefs’ instructions step by step.
  • From the 22 to the 28  November, a number of Italian restaurant in Ireland will offer as part of their menus one of the traditional dishes can be discovered in the videogame Italy Land of Wonders. A full list of participating restaurants is available here.
  • On the 25 November, Alessandro Capozzi, Executive Pizza Chef of successful chain PressUp and winner of the contest ‘Pizza DOC in the World – Best Italian pizza chef abroad’, will reveal his secrets to produce a perfect homemade pizza right in our kitchens. The video will be available on the YouTube Channel of the Italian Institute of Culture.
