On the occasion of Fare Cinema 2022, the Italian Cultural Institute of Washington will screen ‘Zen sul ghiaccio sottile’, an award-winning work by Margherita Ferri, for US audiences.
On 22 June, at the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, the director will present the film, which focuses on two young Italian girls in search of their identity. The themes addressed are in keeping with the broader context of Pride month, a month internationally dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community and an occasion for a social and cultural reflection that is particularly felt in the United States. The screening is also accompanied by the presentation of the Biennale College Cinema programme, a project of the Venice Biennale dedicated to the training of young people in the film industry, from this year in collaboration with the Farnesina.
