On 8 and 9 June the Italian Cultural Institute in Lyon presents a two-day meeting with the illustrator Zerocalcare, born Michele Rech, who will be in Lyon on the occasion of the 17th edition of the Lyon BD Festival.

The double exhibition Zerocalcare opens on 9 June 2022, with the artist present: ‘da Rebibbia a Kobané‘ (40 plates – edited by Ralph Doumit).

The part of the exhibition relating to Rebibbia, is set up on the 3rd floor of the Italian Cultural Institute from 9 June to 31 August 2022 and presents the stories that the author dedicates to his life’s story in Rebibbia, Rome.

The second part of the exhibition, relating to Kobané, is instead set up on the mezzanine floor of the Fnac Bellecour bookshop from 9 to 30 June 2022 and presents the story to which the author dedicates his personal commitment to the Kurdish community.

Two reproductions of the covers of the works ‘Macerie Prime‘ and ‘La Profezia dell’Armadillo‘ are also exhibited in the Institute, as a supplement to the collective exhibition organized in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut of Lyon ‘Bea Davies / Ralf König / Zerocalcare‘.
