The award is open to upper secondary schools and dedicated to scientific dissemination.
‘Premio Cosmos’ for students: two Italian Schools worldwide among the winners
‘Premio Cosmos for students’ aims to select the best book of scientific dissemination (in the fields of Physics, Astronomy and Mathematics) among five candidates, chosen by a Scientific Commitee and proposed to upper secondary schools. The award is promoted by Società Astronomica Italiana and Città Metropolitana di Reggio Calabria – Planetario Pythagoras, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
Juries of the involved schools read the five books and voted for one, writing the related review. The winner book of the third edition is Licia Troisi’s “La sfrontata bellezza del cosmo”.
The best reviews – including those written by students of the Comprehensive Italian State Schools of Madrid and Barcelona – will be published on Repubblica.it and the Giornale di Astronomia.
The video-report made by a student of the ‘Enrico Mattei’ Italian School in Casablanca, as well as the ceremonial announcement of winners, are available on the award’s Youtube channel.
More information on the award is available on the official website.
