RiGenerazione Scuola: RICREA projects open to Italian schools abroad enter the Green Community
Registration is still open for Ambarabà Ricicloclò and Riciclick.
The educational activities of RICREA, the non-profit National Consortium for the Recycling and Recovery of Steel Packaging, in which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is involved, have been included in the national Green Community network, as part of the RiGenerazione Scuola project.
ReGenerazione Scuola (School ReGeneration) is the Ministry of Education’s Plan to implement the objectives of the UN’s 2030 Agenda, designed to support schools in the ecological and cultural transition and in implementing sustainable development educational pathways in the civic education curriculum.
As part of the Plan, the Green Community (GC) is a network of public and private entities, also of international importance, which has offered its services to school communities to support them in implementing ReGeneration initiatives, by promoting workshop and project activities, as well as training and scientific study.
The initiatives promoted by RICREA with the patronage of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, starting this year, are open with a section dedicated to students from Italian schools abroad thanks to the collaboration with the MAECI.
The deadline for registration to Ambarabà Ricicloclò®, the project that invites primary school children to play with words to tell the story of steel packaging recycling, by composing limericks, short rhymes on the theme “Recycling for the world”, has been extended to 15 April 2022.
You can also participate in the Riciclick Mondo® competition for lower secondary school students until 29 April 2022. The photo contest invites young people to take a photo with the Riciclick App related to the theme “I REFUSE!”, using their smartphone.
For information on how to register and how the initiatives are run, you can consult the siteRicreaedu and its ‘Mondo’ (World) section, dedicated to the participation of Italian schools abroad. For information on the RiGenerazione Scuola project, please visit the dedicated website.
