Two courses in Brazil supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The Refresher course in teaching Italian online as a foreign language organised by the São Paulo State University (UNESP) ended at the end of July 2021. The course was led by teachers from the ANDIFES_ISF network (National Association of Managers of Federal Higher Education Institutions – Idioms Without Borders). The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The free and online course covered in detail planning remote lessons and activities, teaching strategies to develop reading skills through the internet and the development of oral skills. It was open to teaching students and graduates, as well as teachers of Italian as a foreign language.
Another training course for Italian teachers is also about to start, promoted by the University of Brasilia, and also offered with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The course will be offered throughout Brazil with priority given to the states in which there is currently no direct training for Italian teachers, because there are no degree courses in Italian language and culture or literature.
