Financial education initiative for primary and secondary school students around the world.
VIII School Award ‘Inventiamo una banconota’
The collaboration between Banca d’Italia, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation continues this year for the promotion abroad of the School Award ‘Inventiamo una banconota’ (Let’s invent a banknote).
The initiative aims to engage students and teachers in specific educational projects to enhance and strengthen the level of financial literacy among young people.
This round of the competition requires students from state and state-authorized private schools to invent and create sketches of ‘imaginary’ banknotes, inspired by the theme ‘Economy and society: the lessons of the pandemic’. The reflection can take inspiration from the measures taken to fight the pandemic and by their impact on students’ school career.
Primary school students can do the drawings on paper or in digital format, while first and second grade secondary schools will only be able submit in digital format.
Interested schools can register by completing the dedicated form and sending it to premioperlascuola@bancaditalia.it by 16 April 2021; the sketches must be submitted by 15 May 2021.
Up for grabs are 3 prizes equal to ten thousand euros to be used to support and develop educational activities.
The regulation, operational indications and further instructions are available on the initiative’s website premioscuola.bancaditalia.it (in Italian). For further information, please contact: Serena Bonito – Office V – serena.bonito@esteri.it
