The winners of ‘M’illumino / d’immenso’ – Mexico City

The winners of the third edition of the International Prize for poetry in translation from Italian to Spanish announced by the Italian Cultural Institute of Mexico City.

The literary prize for poetry translation from Italian to Spanish “M’illumino / d’immenso“, now in its third edition, included 183 participants from 21 different countries (Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, United States, France, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay and Venezuela).

The jury, including Barbara Bertoni, Fabio Morábito and Hernán Bravo Varela, met on 9 October 2020 and selected the translation proposed by the Spanish translator Teresa Lanero Ladrón de Guevara, also awarding an honourable mention to the work proposed by Jorge Yglesias García, from Cuba.
