Bilingualism: the study of Italian in the world’ aims to examine in detail the learning environments in the different Italian schools around the world.

Through an analysis of the linguistic phenomenon and the way in which it influences learning Italian, we will be able to open the door to the new frontiers of education that is increasingly focused on multilingual and multicultural openness and on the current horizon of teaching and promotion of Italian language and culture.

Scientific research, projects, teaching methods and student testimonies told through the voices of Italian teachers and school directors working in schools and school offices around the world: the feature begins in Germany, with the German-Italian schools in Berlin and Wolfsburg, continuing in Argentina, with the bilingual and bicultural school of Córdoba, and then on to Switzerland.

With this feature, italiana seeks to provide the reader with an image of the Italian Education System in the world, the actions implemented by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to promote Italian roots and widespread ‘Italianness’ and of the added value of the staff at Italian schools, the actors of inclusive and innovative educational policies.
