2021 marks the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri. A series of celebratory initiatives will involve the network of Embassies, Consular Offices and Italian Cultural Institutes worldwide.
The extensive programme that includes visual art exhibitions, concerts, live performances but also the use of the most advanced multimedia technology was developed in collaboration with the National Committee for Centenary Celebrations and with some of the major national cultural institutions, from the Accademia della Crusca to the Società Dante Alighieri, from the Ravenna Municipal Authority to the Dante Group of the Italianists’ Association (ADI) and the Centro per il libro e la lettura (Centre for Books and Reading – CePELL).
The initiatives ‘Dante 700 nel mondo’ (Dante 700 worldwide) will be presented on 17 March, at 10:00 am, with a press conference in streaming from the Farnesina.
