‘JazzLife, Life in J major’ is the title of a new web, TV and social media format presented by Umbria Jazz and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote Italian artistic and cultural heritage through the eyes and sounds of the best on the current Italian jazz scene.
Four dates in the first series, each with a theme linked to a musical project and a city in Umbria, developed through events engaging local people, food and wine, art and history.
The tunes for each theme are provided by the personality and creativity of musicians such as Fabrizio Bosso, Rita Marcotulli and Dado Moroni, Gianluca Petrella, Gabriele Mirabassi.
The four historical locations that form the setting for inspiring concerts are tied to the long history of Umbria Jazz: Perugia and Orvieto, locations of the summer and winter versions of the festival, Gubbio and Castiglione del Lago, locations in the first touring editions of the festival in the 1970s.
