‘Turkish-Italian Cooperation in the Amuq Valley: Cultural Identities from the 16th to the 6th century BC’.

The project vythe University of Florence in the Amuq Valley, active since 2014 and led by Prof. Marina Pucci, investigates the phenomena of continuity, change and hybridization in the Late Bronze and Iron periods (1600-600 BC) in the region of Hatay. In particular, the project uses archaeological materials and contexts from the sites of Alalakh/Tell Atchana, and Chatal Höyük in the Amuq and surface prospecting of the region to study daily practices. The activity is carried out in cooperation with the Mustafa Kemal University of Hatay.
