The school was created in 1961 on the initiative of an Italian engineer from the FIAT Group, advocate of the need of the Italian community in Cordoba for an Italian-speaking school that integrated education programmes from both countries. The School’s prestige grew over the years, demanding the enlargement of the original infrastructure and the expansion of the educational offer and school levels, and organizing the Departments of Italian and Career Advice. The main objective of the School is to promote the exchange of meaningful, creative and experiential cultural experiences between Italians and Argentinians. Indeed, the school curriculum is based on the promotion of the Italian language and culture within the Argentine community, bilingual and bicultural education that incorporates a European perspective and the rediscovery and recovery of linguistic and cultural roots.
