The “Don Bosco” Institute boasts almost a hundred years in Cairo. The Salesians arrived here in 1926 and devoted themselves from the offset to teaching and training the younger generations: first of all, addressing the Italian community present in Egypt; later, involving the local young people, who over the years became the majority and now make up the entire group. After 1945, the situation in Egypt underwent profound changes that led to the redefinition of the identity of schools. The Institute we see today is the result of the Protocol between Italy and Egypt signed in 1970. The “Don Bosco” is currently structured along two lines: the technical school and advanced training courses. The courses offered by the school aim to guarantee quick and sure access to the world of work. The academic qualification awarded is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, the European Community and the Egyptian Government.
